Next Phase of Planet Color™ Adds New Level of Detailing for the Ultimate in Customization
Warrensville Heights, OH - Planet Color is taking automotive finishes to new extremes with the second phase of optically-enhanced custom colors and detailing by just months after 'wowing' the custom design audience with the initial launch in January, 2006.
Now designers will be able to match a car's interior with its exterior, thanks to new Planet Color detailing enhancements. A complete line of leather for seating will be available, while new striping, decals and custom graphics can be optically enhanced with the same features and hues of Planet Color.
"Our goal with the launch of Planet Color was to continuously push the boundaries of color with fresh innovation that surpasses our competition," said David Kidd, product manager, Planet Color. "These new enhancements take our unique color solutions to the next level with leather seating, striping and decals in new color combinations for cutting-edge detailing."
To make it even easier, the detailing can be coordinated online with the designers at Planet Color. With the click of a mouse, information, samples and final optically enhanced decals and striping can be viewed and selected online.
"We wanted to streamline the process for ordering these custom enhancements," Kidd added. "Adding an online function makes it easier to meet designer needs while eliminating the hassles of dealing with multiple suppliers."
But the detailing isn't the only enhancement to Planet Color. Additional color palettes with new special-effect pigments are being introduced as well. "We have fresh, innovative hues that blow the competition away," said Kidd. "These new finishes bring previously unseen brilliance and reflectivity in clean, crisp, radiant colors."
Striking new palettes include:
XL Tones - Bold, in-your-face finishes with over-the-top metallic flakes for extreme color expression.
Cosmic Tones - Celestial colors representing the vast unknown of outer space.
Silhouette Tones - Solid colors conveying strength while capturing the clean lines and profile of today's cars.
Sweet Tones - Vibrant tones that evoke the rich, candy colors of days gone by.
Shimmer Tones - Colors that flicker, glisten and illuminate when kissed by the sun.
